Special Operations Air Land Integration
The Special Operations Air Land Integration Element aims to provide synergistic effects on a common objective by combining air and surface forces.
Which are the effects SOALI can create?
These effects can range from a Laser Guided Bomb from an aircraft, survey and mark a Heli Landing Site for a medevac or operate an Unmanned Aerial System to provide Situational Awareness for the Ground Force Commander.
Based on an operator profile, bringing a lot of technical skills, supporting the assaulters, a reconnaissance team or a convoy of vehicles in the desert by maximizing the 3rd dimension.
All SOALI members must be Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) qualified. A JTAC directs the action of combat aircraft engaged in close air support and other offensive air operations from a forward position. English proficiency is necessary. All SF teams have a JTAC operator, but not in an exclusive function.
